Established in Etobicoke in 1954, the Ontario Food Terminal is considered the “stock exchange” for fruits and vegetables. It is Canada’s largest wholesale fruit and produce terminal and ranks amongst the top four terminal markets in Canada and the United States by volume of produce distributed. Here our customers can interact face-to-face with our team to hand-select the best produce for their customers across the province. Here we carry a large selection of locally grown and international produce for our retail and wholesale customers.
Located just 5 minutes away from the Ontario Food Terminal, our Distribution Centre is a state-of-the-art 65,000ft² facility that caters to our program retail and foodservice accounts. Our climate-controlled storage utilizes 5 different temperature zone coolers. This allows us to properly maintain cold chain integrity in ensuring ultimate freshness and maximum shelf-life. In addition, we have 11 state-of-the-art tarpless ripening rooms to provide customers with an optimal product based on transportation and preference.
Situated less than 20 minutes from downtown Calgary, Gambles is now able to service customers coast to coast, suppling them with product from Calgary to all Western Provinces.
